Marie Alexandra Ibarra is a theatre artist and educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area, whose work is rooted in the intersection of equity, community building, and nurturing engagement. With more than a decade in higher education, her professional background includes student-centered leadership as well as program design and execution, shaping environments that foster access, belonging, and leadership development through pedagogy grounded in intention and care.
She holds a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Cal State East Bay, where she studied Theatre & Dance, Philosophy, and English. Her experience includes program design and assessment, event coordination, staff training and supervision, strategic planning and marketing, budget management, and campus-wide partnership, informed by her time spent in Japan and across the Midwest and West Coast.
As an actor and student affairs professional, she moves fluidly among classrooms, campuses, rehearsal rooms, and stages with an integrative, collaborative approach. Outside of professional spaces, she enjoys photography, strength training, and holds an enduring appreciation for pizza.
